In the divided world of Malata, in the city of Paya, the heart of the West, King Featherclaw must decide whether to help with the spore outbreak or stay devoted to the gods while an evil lord in the East works furiously to meet all of the gods' demands to gain their favor. In the vast lands of Aninkara, the inhabitants believed they were alone until mysterious events began to unfold. Unknown vessels were spotted at sea, entire villages disappeared, and strange creatures were reported. The Queen of Aninkara took notice as a powerful emperor with superior armies and technology sought to conquer their lands. An ancient power, lost to time, called upon an unlikely wielder who had to learn to harness it to save her homeland. Guided by an old man with a secret, she embarked on a journey to unite the realms against the invading empire. The experienced captain and the Queen faced internal power struggles as they tried to unite a divided Aninkara.
Lord Sohkan, lost far from his campaign against Aninkara, discovered an ancient deity and sought an ancient gateway to other worlds hidden among Aninkara's abandoned cities. The leadership of Aninkara, liberated from Sohkan's empire, began rebuilding and aligning the realms. However, their efforts were tested as the empire found a new way to reach them. Charaty, who wielded an ancient power, went missing after the last battle. Her friends waited for her return, only to find she could no longer use her powers. They had to unite the remaining realms once again to save Aninkara.
Emperor Sohkan, wounded and banished to another world, spent decades on the run from the Charrion Wielder. He mastered his new world and sought an item that could grant him the power to retake his home world. Tamalin and Malese, rightful heirs of the Empire, joined the Gryphons of Dartmouth to build an army and spread their beliefs. Aninkara, now free from Sohkan's empire, recovered and opened an ancient city for those seeking freedom. Charaty, bestowed with ancient power, aimed to bring peace but faced the threat of Sohkan's return. She had to form new alliances as many of her friends grew tired of fighting.
